
Kathmandu. Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has formed a nine-member struggle committee to mobilize and coordinate the movement for the cancellation of the name of Koshi province.
Jaspa Nepal President Upendra Yadav said that the committee was announced to coordinate the national identity movement against the naming of Koshi province and bring the movement to a decisive level.
A movement mobilization committee has been formed under the coordination of Jaspa Nepal executive committee member and former peace minister Rakam Chemjong.
President Yadav said that the well-known leader Chemjong has been appointed as the commander of the movement because he has the ability to coordinate between the tribal communities and the identityist communities and bring the movement to fruition.
As a member of the struggle committee, Jaspa Nepal Province no. President of 1 Deepak Yakhya, foreign in charge Dr. KK Rai, Organization Department Secretary Lakpa Sherpa, Identitarian leaders Rajkumar Rai, Jairam Yadav, Sashi Lingden, Kunta Rai and Machindra Vega.
The struggle committee was declared by the JSP Nepal Central Committee meeting which started on 27th July and ended on 30th in Sanagaon of Lalitpur. However, by adding the names of some members, the committee was completed on Thursday.
Although the movement based on identity in eastern Nepal is taking place in a communal and spontaneous manner, this is the first time that a struggle committee has been formed by appointing a commander for the abolition of the name of Koshi province.
Jaspa Nepal has been standing in support of every movement that is raising voices to cancel the name of Koshi province and name it on the basis of identity.
